ABC College of English (ABC), an NZQA Category 1 provider was established in 1994. It is a boutique, private English language school that has gained a reputation for its first-class English language tuition and excellent student services.
We pride ourselves on the supportive, family atmosphere with welcoming and friendly, caring staff. Our students come from many different countries and so there is a great mix of nationalities at any one time.

Our campus, QRC House is a modern, 5-floor building in the heart of Queenstown. With balconies overlooking Queenstown and the surrounding mountains.
It features a student café, demonstration kitchen, library, and computer suite.
Job placement services are also available.
It is only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and the shores of Lake Wakatipu. It is also adjacent to the beautiful Queenstown Botanical Gardens.
Queenstown becomes the classroom through weekly blended learning experiences and activities.
Courses available at ABC College of English
General English
At each level, the course builds student confidence through productive (writing, speaking) and receptive skills (listening, reading). To perfect these, opportunities are created in a variety of contexts both inside and outside the classroom.
Academic English
The key aim for this course is to prepare students for English language examinations (IELTS, PTE, CAE, TOEIC, FCE). Students will learn effective skills and strategies needed to take these external exams with confidence. QRC House is also the regional IELTS Testing Centre.

Communicative teaching methods are used to encourage natural interaction on a strong foundation of vocabulary and grammar.
